Principal roles
The folder should consist of:
1-minute maximum-length monologue
2 songs 45 seconds maximum length (not a capella). One of the songs a Hip Hop song and the second a Jazz song
Headshot and Resume
Acknowledgement of availability for rehearsals on Tuesdays Thursdays, 6pm - 8pm and Saturdays from 10am -12pm
Ensemble roles
The folder should consist of:
One song 1-minute maximum length in a Jazz style.

Description: Alumni of Diamond Hill High School. Very passionate about education and the personal responsibility of the individual. Although he recognizes peoples’ struggles do exist, he doesn't personalize them.
Marcus Harrison:
Ethnicity: Black/African descent
Voice: Tenor
Sex: Male
Description: Harrison has been principal of Diamond Hill High School for the past 6 years. He was never a resident of the city but experienced similar struggles growing up in Harlem, New York. An individual who doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty, believing he’s making the best possible decision for himself and everyone else, even when the school board doesn’t care. Believes that a person’s success is determined by their circumstances.

David Garner:

Description: A senior in high school. David is a strong willed individual, jokester, but stands his ground. Raised by a single father he does his best to cope with the environment and circumstances he was dropped into.
Jonathan Hernandez:

Ethnicity: Hispanic/Latin descent/Ethnically Ambiguous
Description: Jonathan is a junior in high school who has always had his decisions made for him. Born a first gen Latino, his parents are illegal immigrants who make his decisions for him because he’s slightly on the spectrum and is responsible for the safety of his family. Jonathan is a smart kid full of potential who really likes going to school. Although he struggles to express himself, he means well, always putting the masses before himself.

Description: Ms. Rose is a mother to most every child that comes into her library. She believes in them but also understands them. She lets them come to her at their pace, treating them as adults based on their lives, not their age. She allows them to make some mistakes but doesn’t tolerate disrespect because she sees the best parts of the students and holds them to it. Ms. Rose is very nurturing and is an adult that has preserved her spark.
Mr. Carpe/Robert Atkins

Description: Mr. Carpe is a former teacher of Diamond Hill High from when Westwood was a student. He became a janitor after retirement for the students' sake no longer needing to work but still wanting to do something for the next generation. He talks to Westwood and knows everything going on in the campus but avoids getting involved to allow himself to present an unbiased standpoint for all sides
